| Obverse description | Central floriated cross with a rampant lion of Flanders occupying the center roundel, the four arms of the cross elaborately ornamented with foliate terminals. The mint date is divided by a small crown and appears at the top of the field between the cross arms. A circular beaded inner border separates the central design from the peripheral Latin legend running along the coin's circumference. |
