| Obverse description | Green note with an intricate guilloche underprint covering the entire face. The denomination is stated in large bold Gothic lettering as "DREI RUBEL" at centre, above which an arched heading reads "DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN"; numeral "3" corner devices appear at left and right. The date "Posen, den 17. April 1916" is printed centrally below the denomination, followed by the issuing authority lines "OSTBANK FÜR HANDEL UND GEWERBE" and "DARLEHNSKASSE OST". Three manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion, with a serial number printed in red at upper right and lower left, and an anti-counterfeiting warning in small text at the foot. |
