| Obverse description | The obverse displays the State Emblem of the Russian Federation at center — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by an imperial crown, with a third larger crown above flanked by ribbon, the eagle holding an orb and sceptre in its talons and bearing a shield on its breast depicting Saint George slaying the dragon. The legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ curves along the upper periphery in Cyrillic, with two decorative lozenge ornaments flanking the eagle at mid-field. Below the eagle, the inscriptions БАНК РОССИИ, 3 РУБЛЯ, and 2018 г. appear in three lines. To the lower left of the eagle the fineness mark Ag 925 is inscribed, while the weight designation 31,1 and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) appear to the lower right. |
