Obverse description The obverse features the official emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — rendered in relief at the center of the field, with the curved legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) inscribed beneath it. The central design is enclosed within a beaded circle, beyond which the rim carries inscriptions divided by dots: the denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ (THREE ROUBLES) and the year of issue 2012. Between the denomination and the date appear the metallic composition indicator Ag 925, the Moscow Mint monogram ММД, and the fine metal content of 31.1 grams, all in accordance with Russian Central Bank standards for commemorative coinage.
