Obverse description Central device depicts the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, displayed with wings spread and no crowns, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. A dotted inner border encircles the eagle. The Cyrillic legend ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) arcs along the upper periphery, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves beneath the eagle and the date 2001 Г. appears at the bottom. The fineness indicator Ag 900 is inscribed to the lower left of the eagle, and the weight designation 31.1 along with the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) appears to the lower right.
