Comments

The Terek Republic was a short-lived Soviet formation in the North Caucasus, proclaimed in early 1918 and collapsing by the end of 1919 under pressure from Denikin's White Army. Its Soviet of People's Commissars issued emergency currency precisely because the region was cut off from Moscow's supply lines — this is local necessity printing, not coordinated monetary policy from the center.

P#S530 is among the simpler denominations of the Terek emission. These notes circulated in a region experiencing simultaneous Bolshevik, White, and local nationalist violence, and survival rates are accordingly poor.
