| Obverse description | At centre, the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings lowered, enclosed within a beaded circle. The legend «БАНК РОССИИ» (Bank of Russia) arcs in a semicircle beneath the eagle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination inscription «ТРИ РУБЛЯ» (Three Roubles), while the date «2004» appears along the lower rim.
