| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a highly detailed representation of a historic jewelled porte-bouquet holder from the Diamond Fund of Russia, rendered in high relief against a finely engraved foliate arabesque background that fills the entire field. The ornament, shown in a vertical orientation, consists of an elaborate beaded and pearl-set brooch at the top from which cascades a richly articulated stem wound with strings of pearls and set with large gemstones, tapering elegantly toward the lower field. The intricate goldsmith work is faithfully reproduced, conveying the grandeur of the imperial jewellery collection. The curved legend АЛМАЗНЫЙ ФОНД РОССИИИ arcs along the upper periphery of the coin in Cyrillic characters against a polished proof field. |
