| Obverse description | Central field features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, crowned with three imperial crowns, holding an orb in the right talon and a sceptre in the left, with a shield on its breast bearing the mounted figure of St. George slaying the dragon. The legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic. Below the emblem, the inscription БАНК РОССИИ 3 РУБЛЯ 2024 г. is arranged in three lines across the lower field. Fineness and weight indicators Ag 925 and 31,1 appear in the lower left and lower right fields respectively, flanking the eagle. The mint mark of the Saint Petersburg Mint (СПМД) is positioned in the lower right area of the field. |

| Reverse description | Central device is a large five-pointed star rendered with vivid red enamel, representing the Order of the Red Star, upon which a central medallion depicts a Red Army soldier in relief, armed and in full uniform, set against a hammer-and-sickle emblem at the base of the star. The legend ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ! (Workers of the world, unite!) encircles the inner medallion. The surrounding field features four high-relief vignettes illustrating scenes from Soviet military history: a tank advancing in battle at upper left, infantry soldiers charging at upper right, a submarine at lower left, and a wartime propaganda poster at lower right.
