| Reverse description | The reverse presents a detailed high-relief depiction of the iconic 'The Motherland Calls' (Родина-мать зовёт) monumental sculpture by Yevgeny Vuchetich, situated atop Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd. The allegorical female figure is shown in full length, striding forward with her right arm raised aloft bearing a sword and her left arm outstretched, her robes billowing dramatically, set upon a tiered pedestal. Behind the sculpture, a matte-finished panoramic cityscape of Volgograd is rendered in lower relief, evoking the historical landscape of the battle site. A laurel branch curves along the lower right of the field. The inscriptions СИМВОЛЫ РОССИИ (Symbols of Russia) arc across the upper field and МАМАЕВ КУРГАН (Mamayev Kurgan) appears to the lower left. |
