Obverse description At center, the emblem of the Bank of Russia is depicted in relief — the double-headed eagle with lowered wings — surrounded by a beaded inner circle. The legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) arcs beneath the eagle in Cyrillic. Along the outer rim, divided by dot stops, the denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ (THREE ROUBLES) and the year of issue 2012 appear alongside the metal purity designation Ag 925, the fine gold content 31.1, and the Saint Petersburg Mint privy mark СПМД.
