| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly detailed proof depiction of two historic Russian imperial regalia from the Diamond Fund of Russia: the Imperial Orb (Держава) and the Imperial Sceptre (Скипетр), rendered in high relief against a finely engraved ornamental background of interlaced scrollwork and foliate motifs. The orb occupies the centre of the field, richly adorned with rows of pearls and set with a large gemstone, surmounted by a cross fitted with additional stones. The sceptre is shown diagonally across the lower left, its shaft detailed with turned sections and topped by a crowned finial. The Cyrillic legend АЛМАЗНЫЙ ФОНД РОССИИ curves along the upper rim in the border. |
