| Obverse description | Printed in green on cream paper, the obverse carries the RSFSR state arms — hammer and sickle within a wreath — at upper left, flanked on both sides by large ornate numeral '3' vignettes set within elaborate guilloche rosettes. The central panel bears the Cyrillic inscription ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ ДЕНЕЖНЫЙ ЗНАК (State Currency Sign) above the denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ in bold letterpress, with a statement that the note is secured by all the wealth of the Republic.
