Obverse description The obverse features the Weimar Republic imperial eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in fine relief at center. The eagle faces dexter with detailed feathering across the breast and wings, its talons resting on crossed fasces. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH curves along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals, flanked by a beaded border. Below the eagle, the word PROBE appears in small capitals, with the date 1932 prominently struck in the lower field. Two small six-pointed rosettes flank the inscription in the lower exergual area.

Reverse description The reverse displays the large numeral 3 at center above the two-line denomination legend REICHS MARK, all enclosed within a symmetrical wreath of oak branches bearing acorns, tied at the base. The wreath is rendered in high relief with finely detailed foliage. The Stuttgart Mint mark F appears below the wreath at the base of the design. A beaded border runs along the entire periphery of the field.
