Obverse description Within a beaded border, a displayed eagle with wings outstretched faces left, its breast charged with the Savoy cross shield. The crowned eagle head turns sinister, and the dynastic heart-shaped escutcheon of Savoy is superimposed at the center. The encircling Latin legend reads: VICT AME D • G • SIC • A C C P, denoting Victor Amadeus by the grace of God, King of Sicily, Jerusalem, and Cyprus.

Reverse description Within a beaded border, the large numeral 3 is prominently displayed within an ornate baroque cartouche, flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork. The regnal year appears in the upper field above the cartouche. The partial Latin legend IER ET CIP • REX encircles the design, completing the royal titulature of Victor Amadeus II as King of Jerusalem and Cyprus.
