| Obverse description | Central field features the interlaced crowned cypher of Prince-Bishop Clemens August of Bavaria, formed by intertwined letters rendered in an ornate Baroque script, surmounted by a princely electoral crown with jewelled arches and cross finial. The denomination numeral '3' appears to the left of the cypher and the abbreviation 'P' to the right, flanking the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner border, with a finely serrated or toothed outer rim surrounding the field. |

| Reverse description | Within a plain circular inner border, the reverse displays the Roman numeral 'III' in large characters across the upper field, with the abbreviation 'PFEN' below, and the mint date in Arabic numerals at the bottom, all separated by small rosette or quatrefoil ornaments flanking the numeral. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner border, reading 'HOCHFURST MUNST LANDT MUNTZ', identifying this as the high princely coinage of the Münster territory. The outer rim is finely toothed, consistent with the milled production of the Münster mint. |
