| Reverse description | The reverse features a bold, plain denomination inscription arranged in three lines across the central field: the numeral '3' at the top, 'PFENNIGE' below, and the date '1837' beneath that, all in large, clean Roman capital letters. The mintmaster's initial 'G' appears in the lower exergual area, denoting the Dresden Mint official Johann Georg Gärtner. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border, with a plain outer rim, the overall composition being austere and highly legible in the manner of early nineteenth-century German Kleinmünzen. |
