| Obverse description | Central field displays the quartered Saxon royal coat of arms — barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin (bend sinister of rue crowns) overall — set within a shield surmounted by a royal crown. The circular legend KÖNIGL. SÄCHS. SCHEIDE-MÜNZE reads around the periphery, separated at the base by a small floral rosette ornament. The design is framed by an inner dentilated border running the full circumference of the flan. |
