Reverse description The denomination numeral '3' appears prominently in the upper central field, followed below by the inscription 'PFENNIGE' in bold Latin capitals arranged across the middle of the coin. The date '1824' is struck in the lower field, completing the three-line legend. The design is plain and typographic, without ornamental borders or additional devices, typical of minor copper coinage of the German states in this period.
