| Reverse description | The denomination numeral III appears prominently in the upper portion of the central field, with the abbreviated inscription PFEN(nig) below, together forming the statement of value. The entire value device is enclosed within a wreath composed of two palm branches tied at the base, their fronds curving symmetrically upward to frame the legend on either side. The design is bold and unadorned, typical of utilitarian copper municipal coinage of the Holy Roman Empire in the early eighteenth century. The flan edges are irregular, reflecting the hand-struck or lightly milled production methods of the Soest municipal mint. |
