Obverse description The crowned shield of arms of Wismar, featuring a quartered design with a bull's head and crosshatched lozenges, set within elaborate Baroque cartouche scrollwork. The shield is centrally positioned in the field, flanked by symmetrical foliate ornaments. The circular legend MONETA NOVA WISMARIENSIS runs around the periphery, separated from the inner design by a beaded border.
