Obverse description Crowned Saxon coat of arms displayed at center, featuring the quartered electoral shield with the rampant lions of the Wettin dynasty flanking the central escutcheon, surrounded by elaborate foliate and cartouche ornaments. The royal crown surmounts the shield at top. The mint master's initials IGS appear in the lower field beneath the arms. The entire design is contained within a beaded border running along the coin's periphery.
