Reverse description Central field presents a frontal standing figure of Saint Paul the Apostle, depicted in long robes and holding his attributes — a sword and a book — in keeping with standard iconographic convention for the patron saint of Münster Cathedral. Beneath the figure, a small heraldic shield is visible, likely repeating the arms of the bishopric. A circular Latin legend surrounds the figure, identifying the saint as S PAVLVS APOST. The composition is characteristic of late medieval German ecclesiastical coinage, with the saint rendered in a stiff, hieratic style consistent with hammered silver issues of the early sixteenth century.
