Obverse description Central field bears the elaborately detailed quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, surmounted by an electoral hat (Kurhut) and supported on either side by sinuous serpentine supporters. The shield displays the characteristic Mainz wheel charges alongside heraldic elements associated with Archbishop Emerich Joseph von Breitbach-Bürresheim. A continuous Latin legend encircles the entire composition, running along the coin's periphery in raised lettering.
