Reverse description Three-line inscription in the field reading '3 / PFEENNING / · 1787 ·', with the large numeral '3' at the top flanked on each side by a quatrefoil rosette ornament, a further rosette below each flanking the word PFEENNING, and a sixth rosette centered at the base below the date. The design is contained within a beaded inner border and an outer milled edge, giving the reverse a clean, typographic appearance characteristic of late 18th-century German small copper coinage.
