The quarterly shield displays the heraldic emblems of the Archbishopric of Trier and the House of Lorraine, including a wheel, a cross, a lion passant, and foliate charges. The encircling Latin legend reads CHVR. TR. LANDMVNZ, denoting the electoral Trier land coinage.
