| Reverse description | The reverse displays a large numeral '3' surmounted by the St. Edward's Crown, flanked on either side by a symmetrical wreath of oak leaves and acorns, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The date is divided to the left and right of the numeral, with two digits appearing on each side. The entire design is executed in crisp, high relief typical of Maundy coinage, with a fine inner bead border encircling the composition. The reverse design follows the traditional Maundy format established by Jean Baptiste Merlen. |
