| Obverse description | Crowned bust of Queen Elizabeth I facing left, rendered in the hammered style typical of mid-Tudor coinage, with flowing hair visible beneath an ornate Tudor crown. The queen is depicted with a draped and ruffled bodice, her portrait executed in fine relief. A Tudor rose appears in the field to the right of the effigy, serving as a heraldic device. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The Latin legend encircles the bust between the inner and outer beaded borders. |

The Latin motto legend runs continuously around the field between the inner and outer beaded borders, punctuated by decorative stops. |
