British Commonwealth Forces Korea mess vouchers occupy a genuinely odd corner of military scrip history. The BCFK umbrella covered personnel from the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and other Commonwealth nations serving during and after the Korean War, and individual unit messes issued their own internal vouchers to control alcohol and canteen purchases — preventing cash from circulating freely between ranks and between messes.

The "C" Officer's Mess designation narrows this to a specific sub-unit within BCFK's headquarters structure. Orange paper was a common colour-coding device across military scrip systems to distinguish denominations at a glance across a busy bar counter.

These vouchers were never intended to survive — redeemed, tallied, and burned at the end of each accounting period.
