Obverse lettering + ALBERTVS ET ELISABET DEI GRATIA -
(Translation: Albert and Isabella, by God`s grace ...)
Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield bearing the complex dynastic arms of the Archdukes Albert and Isabella — including the quarters of Austria, Burgundy, León, Castile, and other dominions — surmounted by an archducal crown with visible arched and jewelled rim. The shield is set within a multi-lobed polylobe frame, with the surrounding Latin legend divided by small decorative stops and running along the coin's beaded periphery. The overall composition is characteristic of the elaborate heraldic coinage of the Spanish Netherlands during the early seventeenth century.
