Obverse description Conjoined busts of Friedrich Wilhelm III and Wilhelm II facing left, with the civic arms of Breslau depicted below. The legend encircling the design reads FRIEDRICH WILHELM III WILHELM II UNIVERSITÄT BRESLAU, commemorating the centenary of the University of Breslau. The portrait effigies are rendered in high relief in a classical academic style, consistent with the commemorative pattern series of the Wilhelmine era.

Reverse description Crowned imperial German eagle displayed with spread wings, its breast bearing a shield charged with the Hohenzollern arms, surrounded by elaborate scrollwork and foliate ornament at the base. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs across the upper field, with the date 1911 at right and the denomination DREI MARK inscribed along the lower arc. The design is consistent with the standard Wilhelmine imperial eagle type used on German 3 Mark commemorative coinage of the period. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
