| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in pink, blue, and dark purple on cream paper, with a decorative scalloped cartouche border. To the left, a large circular vignette bears the interlocked monogram 'OW' encircled by the legend 'OLDENBURGER WOCHE OLDENBURG' and the dates '21.-31. MAI 1922'. To the right, the bold denomination '3 MARK' is set at upper centre, beneath which a text panel carries the full Notgeld declaration, the validity clause, and the issuing authority, concluded by three facsimile signatures of the Geschäftsausschuss. The printer's imprint 'Ad. Essich & Co. vorm. F. Büttner, Oldenburg I.O.' appears in the bottom margin. |
