Obverse description	Printed in black letterpress on yellow coated cloth, the face bears the large denomination numeral '3' at left and the value 'Drei Mark' in bold letters across the centre. Restrictive inscriptions are arranged above and below, including notices of invalidity without the commandant's stamp and limitation of use to within the camp. A circular blue handstamp of the camp commandant's office is applied diagonally across the face.
Obverse lettering	Kein öffentliches Zahlungsmittel. Ohne Kommandantur-Stempel ungültig. 3 Drei Mark Gültig nur innerhalb des Lagers, sonst ohne jeden Wert. Halle a. S., 1. Juni 1916.
