| Obverse description | Central device depicts a detailed three-quarter perspective view of the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (Monument to the Battle of Nations) in Leipzig, rendered with fine architectural detail including its massive tiered base, arched entrance portal, and stepped upper tower. The monument rises prominently from the lower field, flanked by an open field on either side. The curved legend '18. OKTOBER' arcs along the left periphery and '1813 = 1913' along the right, commemorating the centenary of the decisive battle fought on 18 October 1813. The mint mark 'E' for the Muldenhütten Mint appears at the bottom of the field beneath the monument's base, within the inner border. |
