Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese characters arranged vertically reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao), flanked by Manchu script at centre, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The outer legend reads 雲南省造 (Yunnan Province made) at top and the denomination 庫平三錢六分 at bottom, with floral rosettes at either side in the outer field.
