Obverse description Right-facing armoured and draped bust of King Frederik IV, wearing a flowing curled allonge wig, with elaborate armour visible at the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reading the king's royal titles is separated by mullets and runs along the outer border of the broad, flat field. Below the bust, within the lower arc of the legend, appears the king's personal motto as a secondary inscription. The entire design is enclosed within a wide milled or dentilated border.
