Obverse description Central field features the Hungarian crowned arms, displaying the traditional quartered shield with horizontal bars on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross on a mount on the sinister side, surmounted by the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen. The denomination numeral '3' appears to the left of the shield and the mintmark initial 'K' to the right. The circular legend 'MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ' runs around the periphery, interrupted by a small ornament at the top. The overall design is executed in a bold, raised relief typical of Hungarian revolutionary-period coinage.
