| Obverse description | Elaborate ten-fold quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg with the central escutcheon bearing the Schönborn family device, the entire shield surmounted by a princely crown and enclosed within a mantle or ornamental drapery. Two supporters flank the achievement on either side. A continuous Latin legend encircles the periphery, reading the titulature of Johann Philipp Franz von Schönborn, Prince-Bishop of Würzburg and Duke of Franconia. |

| Reverse description | A nine-line Latin funerary inscription occupying the entire reverse field, recording the death of Johann Philipp Franz von Schönborn with the relevant dates. The numeral 3, denoting the face value, is placed within an imperial orb that bisects the lowermost line of the inscription, a compositional device characteristic of small-denomination commemorative issues of the period. |
