Obverse description Draped bust of King Jan II Kazimierz Waza facing right, wearing armour and a feathered hat, set within a beaded inner circle. The denomination numeral '3' appears prominently at the base of the bust below the portrait. The circumferential Latin legend reads IOAN. CAS. REX. separated by dots, with additional abbreviated titles continuing around the field, all in capital Roman lettering typical of mid-17th-century Polish hammered coinage.
