| Obverse description | Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the field, representing the arms of the Austrian Empire under Emperor Francis I. The eagle bears the imperial orb, sceptre, and sword, with the Habsburg dynastic shield on its breast. The peripheral legend identifies the ruler as Franz I, Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia, and Lodomeria, rendered in abbreviated Latin script. A fine dentilated border frames the design. |

The outer legend, reading SCHEIDMÜNZE DER WIENER WAEHRUNG, encircles the design identifying this as a token coin of the Viennese currency. A small decorative floral ornament appears below the date, and a cross-shaped mint mark punctuates the top of the outer legend. The composition is bold and legible, characteristic of early nineteenth-century Austrian copper coinage. |
