Obverse description Armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand III facing right, wearing a plumed helmet and cuirass with decorative gorget, set within a beaded inner circle. The emperor's effigy is rendered in a bold, high-relief Baroque style typical of mid-17th century Habsburg coinage. At the base of the bust, the Vienna mint mark appears within a small cartouche. The surrounding legend in Latin reads FERD III D G R I S A G H B REX, abbreviating his full imperial and royal titles, separated by pellets.
