Additional information

Adam Wenceslaus ruled Teschen as a Protestant duke before his dramatic reconversion to Catholicism in 1610 — a politically calculated move that secured Habsburg favor and kept his duchy from the fate of more resistant Silesian principalities. These small silver issues straddle that conversion, placing the 1609–1611 date range across one of the more consequential personal and political pivots in the duchy's history.

Teschen's coinage output was modest by any measure, and surviving KM#7 pieces in attributable condition are genuinely scarce rather than merely reported as such.
