| Reverse description | Central ornately quartered shield bearing the Silesian eagle, surmounted by an elaborate crested helmet with foliated mantling extending into the fields. Adam Wenceslaus ruled Teschen from 1579 until his conversion to Catholicism in 1610 — a political realignment that effectively ended his independent minting program and brought the duchy into closer Habsburg orbit. These 3 Kreuzer pieces span the bulk of his Protestant reign, issued against a backdrop of the confessional tensions that would eventually ignite the Thirty Years' War a decade later. Teschen's output from this period is thinly documented, and MB#23 covers a date range suggesting multiple die marriages rather than a single unified issue.
