Obverse description Conjoined crowned double coat of arms of the Bishopric of Bamberg and the personal arms of Bishop Marquard Sebastian Schenk von Stauffenberg, displayed side by side beneath a single princely crown surmounted by a cross. The left shield bears a diagonal bend with a lion passant below, and the right shield displays a lion rampant. The date 1683 is divided across the upper field flanking the crown, with a small floral ornament below the shields. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded border.
