Obverse description Three small oval shield arms arranged in a trefoil pattern occupy the central field, comprising the Saxon barry arms, the Eisenach lion, and a further territorial quartering. A crown is displayed above the grouped shields. The mintmaster's initials H and S appear in the lower field flanking the central device, separated by the base of the composition. The coin's border is decorated with a beaded rim.

Reverse description A four-line central inscription fills the field, presenting the denomination and issuing authority abbreviation in bold Roman lettering, with a six-pointed star ornament flanking the numeral III on the uppermost line. The legend reads: III / HELLER / F.S.E.L.M. / 1716, where F.S.E.L.M. stands for Fürst zu Sachsen-Eisenach-Landgraf in Meissen. Small decorative star stops appear at the corners of the inscription field. The reverse is enclosed by a beaded border.
