Obverse description The combined coat of arms of the Duchy of Warsaw occupies the central field, featuring the quartered shield of Saxony (with the rautenkranz bend) impaling the Polish white eagle on a red field, enclosed within a decorative oval cartouche. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial, and flanked on either side by symmetrical laurel branches curving upward from the base, lending the composition a classical heraldic character. No peripheral legend is present; the design fills the unadorned field.
