Obverse description Within a square punch, the two-fold arms of Electoral Saxony and Ducal Saxony are displayed side by side, dividing the date. A Latin inscription appears above the shield. The design is characteristic of emergency siege coinage, struck on a roughly prepared klippe planchet with minimal artistic refinement.
