Obverse description Central device depicting a spread eagle displayed, with the Brandenburg sceptered arms emblazoned on the breast shield. The eagle's wings are fully extended with detailed feathering rendered in the Early Baroque hammered style typical of early 17th-century German coinage. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the field, separated from the central device by a beaded or pelleted border. The overall composition reflects the heraldic conventions of the Brandenburg-Hohenzollern dynasty.
