Reverse description The reverse displays a four-line Latin inscription in the upper field reading III / GROSS·AR· / TRIPL·MAG· / DVCA·LITV·, denoting the denomination as a triple silver groat of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Below the inscription, flanked by the date 1546 split across the field, appears the Vytis (Pursuer) — the armored mounted knight on horseback facing left, the heraldic emblem of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, rendered in the characteristic early hammered style. Small decorative ornaments flank the Vytis at the base of the design.
