Obverse description Bust of Saint Rupert facing right, depicted with short hair and wearing ecclesiastical vestments with an ornate collar, rendered in a bold Renaissance hammered style. The figure occupies the central field with strong relief typical of early sixteenth-century goldsmith work. A beaded border frames the design. The surrounding Latin legend reads ORA PRO ME SANCTE RVDBERTE, an invocation to Saint Rupert, patron of Salzburg.
